The Other Side of Something

so i love my job, but i can't wait to be in a big city!  a few weeks ago mine and amy's car go vandilized simply because there is nothing else to do in this small town.  it's really frustrating, because even with insurance i am out 250 bucks, so much for the creative memories money i made.  i mean take up sewing or something and quit messing with random vehicles of complete strangers.  so lots of semi-madness here in kentucky, but life's good.  we are doing dracula right now, and you can not understand the satisfaction of 350 screaming, scaried middle school and high school students.  it truely funny and quite rewarding.  in the chaos of our td quiting monday of tech week, with no set built, we have really all bonded this week, with the help of 2 all nighters, and a few other things i won't mention.  in seven days we built a set teched a show and preformed it 7 times.  i love theatre!  so my boss, who is playing dracula almost mad me wet my pants a few days ago. he crept up the ladder to the booth, where i (for 2/3 of the show, when i'm not on stage or running around backstage) run the light board and grabed my leg.  i screamed in the middle of the show, so it made everyone in the audience scream.  so i am now planning my revenge....  well i have decided what i'm going to do after my contract is up here so that's a load off, and i get to see my sister, kristen, and possible megan tomorrow.

well i keep getting email with the subject title saying are you alive.  so i thought i would just let everyone know yes i am still a live and kickin' up here in horse cave, kentucky.  actually everything is going well.  we have four shows currently rotating at night, and are rehersing for another during the day.  next week we will be starting to have some morning shows of macbeth, which is the most tiresome for me, seeing as i make a little camio in the begining, and then i am the running crew, since all the apprentices have returned to school, so i do my p. a. stuff, and 9 quick changes and fog and other stuff.  i am currently trying to decide what to do when this job is over.  i have about 4 good choices, and i can't make a decision for the life of me.  but the good thing is that no one else in theatre knows what they are doing next either.  amy and i have gone to nashville the last couple of weeks on our day off, i can't wait until i move in next door to her and amanda (this weekend).  it'll be so fun, and i won't have to spend as much on gas and it's $2.60 here.  well shout out to all my friends that are at camp beast this week, and good luck to you as you start school.   i'm jealous that i'm not hanging out with you guys, and living w/ my awsome suite!  but we all have to grow up sometime (or at least go through the motions).

ok well i can't believe that in less than 24 hours i will be in europe!  i mean this little conversation last spring break has amounted to 5 months of busting my butt at chili's to aquire funds, who knows how many hows of research and excited anticipation... and now i am finally about to leave.  it doesn't seem real yet.  but i can't wait!  anyway i won't be posting for a while, but check out my travel site at
